Common Florida Roofing Problems

Hurricane season is coming, and luckily, it doesn’t usually cause any serious weather to occur. But what exactly does this hurricane season do, other than interrupt beach activities? It cracks asphalt shingles, damages roof systems, and makes everything else loose. As the top roofing company in Pensacola, send here to let you know of some of the common Florida roofing issues seen during hurricane season.

We start with the big one – storms. Any storm with an approaching tropical storm or more than a hundred miles of track will cause at least a few tornadoes in Florida. Luckily, Florida gets them mostly only once or twice a year. The rest of the time we have days of smooth weather.

Another problem that often shows up after a big storm is flash flooding (sometimes in pools). Even when it’s not rainy, when water tables rise quickly and the ground can hold much more water than usual, your roof may be unable to keep up. Flash floods can make your ceilings, walls, or even the tile floor look completely different than normal. This is a very frustrating and expensive problem, so if you live in an area prone to flash floods, get something done about it today. You don’t want to find yourself in the middle of a flood again.
